MAGIC INTO REALITY (Aladdin Movie Review)

I hear people saying that magic isn’t possible to turn into reality. I even hear people saying that magic doesn’t even exist.

That isn’t true because I’ve witnessed it myself.

Two weeks ago, my mother brought me to watch ‘Aladdin’.

When I was a kid, I used to remember my mother bringing me to watch Disney movies, especially Disney princesses’ movies. In other words, I would proudly say that I just grew up with all those movies.

The best part was my parents bought me the merchandises of each and every movie. For instance, if I watched Brother Bear, the next day, a Brother Bear toy will come find me.

The love for Disney movies never ended, and it will never end.

Thankfully, Disney gave me back my childhood days by remaking all the Disney movies grew up with. First, ‘The Beauty and the beast’, then ‘Cinderella’ and ‘Aladdin’. My love for Disney deepened when my parents brought me to the ‘Disney on Ice’ show.

Fortunately, I’m still keeping the merchandises purchased from that show at home. Some broken here and there, some in still good condition but none of them died. Talking about the show, although it has been 14 years, I always remember the amount of magic that came into my life that day.

Speaking about the movie itself, it was full of magic. In other words, I would say it brought back the magic I felt 18 years ago. I loved the way Naomi Scott (Princess Jasmine) & Mena Massoud (Aladdin) acted and also the way they delivered themselves when acting. Will Smith, is my favourite actor from those days, has elevated the movie to another level.

“A whole new woooooorld”. Without remembering those lyrics or without to the song itself, my heart is just not resting these days.

I, a person who believes in magic, think that this movie is just a movie that should be watched by all of you out there and please do feel the charm. Seriously, I thought that Aladdin was just a remake film and it was a doubtful thing that will they bring the magic back from the animated version, but it proved me wrong.

When I watched the movie, every scene made me dwell into the magic and story. Without merely focusing on the magic, I just remembered talking about the evil powers being used as well.

The effects of evil power were spectacular. The effects not only convinced me of Ja’afar’s cruelty but also thought that Aladdin was going to, which might change the story as well.

As for me, I could remember the storyline of the animated version without even missing any part, but after watching the latest version, I’ve come to a conclusion that I can only remember and also retrieve back the latest version.

Frankly speaking, I’ve learnt a lot from Disney movies. They’ve taught me to dream and have given me the courage for me to dare myself to achieve what I want. At one point of life, I felt that it was very childish to be clinging onto Disney and of course magic.

But then, when I kept my distance by avoiding Disney, I felt being even more close to it. This shows that without even knowing, I felt mature, and day by day, I felt motivated when I watched Disney movies.

I slowly convinced myself by thinking that motivation cannot only come from a particular source and Disney does not consider what age are you, but it makes you feel the magic and makes sure that you get indulged in it.

Speaking about Aladdin, it may be a remake but for me it’s a ‘recreated movie’. The magic has been reinvented. The poster below is meaningful enough to express the amount of magic, evil powers and love shown in the movie.
