Let’s eat to live!

“Malaysia”, when you hear this name, what pops up in your mind? For me, food ! As we all know, Malaysia is popular for its different races and food. So, in this post, I am going to discuss about the delicious foods that are worth trying out around Kuala Lumpur. All the places that I will be discussing here can be reached by public transport such as train or bus.

Bubble tea

First of all, I will start with bubble tea. Bubble tea is a Taiwanese tea-based drink invented in Tainan and Taichung in the 1980s. Nowadays, the bubble tea trend had spread to our country and most teenagers are addicted to it.

The first bubble tea place that I am going to introduce is KOI. I fell in love with it when I first tasted it and it has become the top 1 bubble tea in my heart.

The second one is Kong Fo Cha. My favourite drink in Kong Fo Cha is 38 Milk King. However, I would recommend to reduce the sugar level because it is much more sweeter than other bubble tea.

The third one is Xin Fu Tang. I believe that most of you have heard of this place before because it has many stores in Malaysia and is known for its stir-fried brown sugar pearls. Each time you buy the signature brown sugar boba milk, you will be asked to stir for 18 times and you will feel blessed. They are also very special because you can have a go at a lucky draw. There are many sticks with numbers matching each drawer and you pick a random stick. There are different quotes in each drawer.

The fourth one is Blackball, it is famous for its dessert. However, I got to try their Cream Brulee Cake Milk Tea because there had a promotion for this product. Everyone who shared their post on Facebook had to show it to the cashier and they could get this milk tea which originally costs RM12.90 for RM5. It was surprisingly good.

The last one is Zododo which is located at EkoCheras mall. Their signature bubble milk tea is really mouth-watering. Also, UCSI student card holders can get a 10% discount by showing their student card during payment.

Food

Now that we are done with bubble tea, I will proceed with food.
First of all, I would like to recommend the Kim Gary restaurant chain. It is a Hong Kong style restaurant and their first restaurant was opened at Sham Shui Po Tong Mei road. Their set lunches are delicious and worth every penny.

There is also a Hong Kong style restaurant known as HK Boy Cart Noodles. They serve delicious noodles, milk tea, Hong Kong snacks and so on.

Their fried dumplings are really appetizing

Next, Sukishi is located at EkoCheras mall and is also a very budget-friendly restaurant for university students. It is a hotpot buffet restaurant and costs only RM35 per person during the weekdays (excluding service tax).

Other than that, Restoran Boston Baru is also a famous restaurant for dinner in Klang . It is notorious for its long queue. However, their food is so delicious that customers are willing to wait for it. Dishes such as the fried Hokkien mee and steamed Lala are the popular dishes of the restaurant.

Last but not least, Chapathi Recipes, which is located at Taman Connaught, is also a good place to have a meal. I am in love with their Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken.
