There comes a point in a student’s life when exam season is approaching and all of your “note-taking” in class has boiled down to just one page. My goodness. Well then, clearly, the next step is to do what most university students excel at. You\u2019ve guessed it! Last-minute studying! But… What if your home isn’t a good study environment? Come on, your bed… It wouldn’t hurt to take a quick snooze or lay around, right…? You’ve already studied for five minutes. You deserve it. What even is productivity?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No need to fret, fellow procrastinators; I have your back! Here are a few cozy study date spots where you can hang around with your friends to get some studying done just outside of UCSI University!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. First up, yes, you already know about Starbucks. It is just outside of our campus.<\/p>\n\n\n

This place is extremely convenient as it is right outside of our campus. The interior is relaxing as it is dim and cozy. However, it might be too comfortable to the point where you could doze off. So, the other option you have would be the outside area. But being in Malaysia, the weather is often really hot, and you might not be able to concentrate when you are just melting there. Maybe sitting inside is the best option after all. Order yourself a cup of coffee or any of your favorite drinks to keep your focus and fresh when you are revising. Free wifi is available only if you order a cup of drink that lasts for an hour. Fortunately, since it\u2019s outside of campus, it’s possible to connect to the campus\u2019s WiFi network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Mix & Fuse. Located on the same row of lots as Starbucks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mix & Fuse is my go-to place to eat, hang out, and study. Why? Well, firstly, it\u2019s because of the comfortable and relaxing atmosphere there. The place is air-conditioned with soft music playing in the background while you enjoy your stay there. Not to mention, the food there is pretty good as well and ranges from RM10 to RM20, which is quite reasonable and affordable. You can add on RM2 for unlimited refillable drinks, so if you are planning on spending a lot of your time there studying, it\u2019s a steal. Wifi is also provided there. This place is rarely crowded, which is why I recommend this place the most.<\/p>\n\n\n

3. Black Whale. A little further away from campus, located at IKON.<\/p>\n\n\n

No doubt, this place is the most comfortable one out of the three places that are being recommended. Though it is cold in there, be sure to bring a jacket with you. The seats are cushioned and restful. There are so many varieties of drinks that you can choose from. I would say 8 out of 10 of them are delicious. The downside is that it is a little pricey. It’s almost the same price range as Starbucks. But if you are out to study and also at the same time trying out new flavored drinks, hey, this place is for you. Two birds with one stone, am I right? This place has never been crowded, so you do not have to worry about being interrupted. Wifi is available there as well.<\/p>\n\n\n
