How I Ended Up Studying At UCSI University

It all started after my midterm marks were out during my high school days. My teacher made an announcement stating that there will be a career guide talk at a place called ‘UCSI University’.

With no knowledge about this university, I signed up myself for this talk with the thought that maybe I could learn something there.

After taking my first step into the main ballroom, I felt a vibe that I’ve never felt in my life before, a positive one actually.

I felt that I was meant to be in this place. I thought I should go and find out more and yes I did.

I took a look at the pamphlets and found out that they were offering medicine there. I was already building a castle in my dream hoping that my parents will choose the same university as I did. After coming home, I kept on telling my parents how I felt about UCSI.

Right after my SPM examination, my parents brought me to many other universities to inquire.

However, it’s either the scholarship amount given was not satisfying enough, medicine was not offered or the university was far from my house. These were the problems I encountered in choosing the right one. With these conflicts, the only thing that I could do was to wait for my SPM results.

Finally, after three months of waiting, the results were released. I was ready to make my first argument that UCSI was the best for me but before I could even voice out for my choice, my parents said, “You are going to UCSI. That’s final,”

Surprised, I just stood there – speechless.

Orientation Day for May Intake 2018

After dealing with all the lengthy required enrollment procedures, the long-awaited day- orientation day finally arrived.

Frankly speaking, UCSI has taught me many things throughout this one whole year and it has changed me from a ‘360-degree point of view’.

UCSI’s speciality is making students realize their strengths and weakness, moulding them into the person they want to be and eventually show the world that they can reach the heights that none has ever reached.

I’m thankful to my parents ( Ms.Shanti and Mr Mogan) for believing in me and also for choosing UCSI. Great minds think alike, I guess. I would also like to thank my family (Sham Athe, Chit Athe, Achima, Kannan Mama and family) for supporting my decisions and being there for me during my success.

Not to mention, my three best friends (Dharini, Shielaa, and Loshiini) for your friendship and encouragement. Last but not least, I thank UCSI University for making me the person I am today. I embrace my future with what I have today.

Dear UCSI, people will be remembering you for generations due to the positive impacts (the colours) you have given to the students like me.

I’m forever grateful and will always strive for excellence by applying knowledge learnt not only in the classroom but also at work, dear undefeatable Praxis University.
