Food Recommendation Around UCSI University

As a university student, we all experienced having large gaps between our classes. Personally, I’ve had classes scheduled at 8.00 am and the next class of the day at 5.00 pm. For those of us fortunate enough to own a car or to live nearby, this situation would only be mildly inconvenient. However, I believe many of you take the public transport, where travelling can take up hours. In this case, always going home during this large gap would start to take a toll on you, physically and mentally.

Hence, besides studying or just hanging out at the library, what else can you do to pass time? Well, one of my recommendations is to try out different kinds of food around the area. Here is a list of food recommendation that I think you should definitely give a try!

1. Chilli Pan Mee

One of my favourite food ever is Pan Mee. Pan Mee is a Hakka-style noodle that is typically served with eggs, anchovies, minced pork and vegetable soup. Here, you are provided with many types of chilli to mix with your noodles to achieve your desired spiciness level. Yum!

2. Craft Café

With its relaxing and cool atmosphere, Craft Café is an ideal place to just chill and hang out with your friends. You can also spot students working on their assignments here with a cup of hot coffee. They serve many kinds of Western cuisine such as spaghetti and chicken chop. Besides, their desserts are to die for!

3. Bean Story

Looking for a cozy place that serves hot broth and spicy food? Well, look no further because Bean Story is just around the corner. Bean Story is a Korean restaurant that serves many types of Korean food, ranging from Kimchi Ramyun to Dakgalbi to Bingsu. Besides, there’s also Korean music and videos playing in the restaurant for Kpop lovers.

4. Shawarma

The first time I’ve tried Arabic food was at Shawarma. More specifically, I love their Chicken Kebab Sandwich, which consisted chicken slices and salad wrapped up with tortilla. It is a perfect meal for students since the price was reasonable and it was also quite filling. Besides, I’m planning to go back for round two to try out their Mandy Lamb.

5. The Alley

Last but not least, what kind of food recommendation list would be complete without bubble milk tea? Located within walking distance from the campus, The Alley has become one of the most frequented cafes among fans of bubble milk tea. One of my friends even spent up to RM 60 a week alone for The Alley! How crazy is that?
