From Korea To Malaysia – My Experience Studying At UCSI University!
Imagine being away from home and signing up for a student exchange programme in a country that speaks a different language, and holds different cultural practices. “Wow” was the first word that escaped from my mouth upon my arrival in Malaysia. My experience in Malaysia, as well as in UCSI, Kuala Lumpur, as an inbound student from Korea, has been nothing less than exciting, adventurous, and eye-opening.

An unforgettable experience was not the only thing I have gained, in fact, I have even met a band of friendly people from the university that made my journey at UCSI University a memorable one.

They were kind enough to bring me on tour around the university campus, and I remember hopping on a bus and getting myself a free ride from the university to the UCSI college on the other part of Cheras.

Besides attending classes, my classmates also brought me along on a road trip to Melaka – the state packed full of the history of Malaysia. The four of them played the role as my tour guide, and we visited A’Famosa.

Back in Kuala Lumpur, we visited the National Museum – little did I know Malaysia is a place filled with stories and history that I did not think of! What’s more exciting is that I even got the chance to visit their Masjid (mosque)! Everything was breath-taking there, the heritage, the people, the noise -they make a good picture together!

Then, my kind tour guides came up with another idea of bringing me to the famous Petronas Twin Towers and as adventurous as I am, I said yes without a moment of hesitation! So, there we were, caught taking the standard tourist picture under the Petronas Twin Towers as evidence of me being a tourist cum exchange student too.

Three months were definitely too short for me to appreciate the beauty of this land. I would definitely come back again!
