THE UNTOLD COLOURS OF LIFE

As I was wondering on what to write about, I thought of someone who inspired me every single day of my life. That person could be seen at an opposite direction from my chair, copying whatever I was doing. Alright, I’ll just get this straight. I was actually talking about myself. After going through a lot in life, of course, I was told that life is not always a bed of roses but to me, it’s always in our hands to make it into a bed of roses. Today I would like to narrow down things about myself into my career, my passion for writing and of course my hobbies. In general, I believe in 2 mottos . 1) I inspire myself and 2) Have courage and be kind, but for today I’ll be emphasising on the first motto.

The motto, ‘I inspire myself’ started when I was 3. I saw a picture of myself dressed up like a doctor and my mum told me I had this sort of interest in stethoscopes . Wherever I went, I always demanded for the doctor set and ended up checking each and every member of the family. These sort of stories inspired me to study medicine. So that’s how the motto ‘I inspire myself’ works. The credit goes to my parents especially my mum for making me realize I had a motto like this.

Despite knowing more about my likes or dislikes, I think it’s necessary for all of you to know how did I get the interest to write my thoughts. Actually, when I was 15 and that was after my public examination, and also after one of the most tragic and devastating period of my life (the death of my grandad), I wanted to discover whether true love exists and also will it still pursue in the life after death. At first, when I started writing that story, I felt that day by day I got more indulged and paranoid on that story until it became a novel entitled ‘Anything For You’. So that was how my interest in writing grew and trust me it’s like a Serotonin pill (happy pill that makes you happy all the time).

I’ve also learnt that life is all about learning and you do it everyday. So that’s how I found a hobby for myself – watching medical dramas and dramas related to criminology. I love watching these because it offers facts of life that I might not be able to experience in a daily life basis. For example, I know that the work of a doctor never end and he or she has to sacrifice almost every happiness in life to become a doctor. That was what a few told me about medicine. But after watching these dramas, I realized that it’s on how we take it. One who loves medicine and his or her family at the same time, will definitely think that serving the community is like serving their own family members which is also spending time with them too.

That’s all from me. Hope I didn’t bore you.
