The UCSI University 32nd Convocation Ceremony was held on the 17th and 18th August 2019, at Dewan Tan Sri Ahmad Razali (DeTSAR), Level 5, Block C. It was such a meaningful day for all the graduates of UCSI University, congratulations to all of you as those hard works have finally paid off!

The convocation ceremony of UCSI University was conducted in three sessions, the time scheduled for each session will be as below:-

During the convocation ceremony, only the guests with their invitation cards were allowed to enter the ceremonial hall. Thus, for others who wished to take part in the ceremony, they may watch the ceremony through live. An auditorium had been prepared for the guests to view the live streaming of the convocation ceremony where it was located at GG07, Block G. The ceremony could also be viewed from the YouTube, by clicking on the link provided here.

After the convocation ceremony, most of the graduates took this opportunity to capture some photos with their family and friends before returning their robe. There were some “popular” spaces within UCSI University where the graduates must go for a shoot. Among their favorite places were the entrance of Block A, in front of block A building, and the stairs in front of Block G. Although the sun was scorching outside, it did not ruin their enthusiasm to take some nice pictures with their family, friends and also their loved ones.

Besides, the graduation photography services were also available at Block C and Block G of UCSI University. The graduating students could take this chance to take some graduation photos as a memento as well.

Along the way to UCSI University, there were abundant of florist stalls set up by the roadside. They offered a variety of choices on the bouquets, plush toys, balloons, and many other celebrating presents. Most of the visitors chose to buy the gifts here for the graduands, as a form of sending their best wishes and congratulations to them. According to the florists, they had arrived at the venue very early in the morning in order to set up their stalls. Some of them even finished setting up their stalls at the night before the ceremony days. Since all of the stalls were set up at the parking lots in front of the university, they had to “book” their places before the parking lots were occupied by the vehicles. The vendors served their customers warmly, the smiles on their faces were the most effective means to boost their businesses.

At the end of the day 1, I was managed to interview a graduate from the afternoon session. “I was really nervous yet excited during the convocation ceremony. At the moment when I was on the stage to receive the awards, the feelings of joy and pride suddenly came surging out.” When we talked about the academic award that she had received, she shared, “I studied Bachelors of Food Science with Nutrition, where we had learned how food affects our health, it does require an understanding of biological and physical sciences as well. I was planning to continue my studies in Masters, so it will still be a long way for me to achieve my dreams. For juniors who were still working hard on their dreams, keep it up and don’t be afraid of failure. Just enjoy your university life and good luck to all the juniors!”

Lastly, let me again congratulations to all graduates of UCSI University, all the best for future!

“You don’t go to university so you can punch a clock. You go to university so you can be in a position to make a difference.”
