Dare To Be Different: 2020!

It’s that time of the year again, where most of us set – New Year Resolutions for ourselves.

2020 will be better than 2019, the greatest time of your life…’

But wait, we ought to understand that, nothing actually changes when the clock strikes 00:00 and the calendar switches from 2019 to 2020, except your mindset. And to think of it that’s all that matters.

The more you dwell in the past, chase after the wrong hearts, allow people to continuously walk over you, the more you surround yourself with the wrong people, allow procrastination to take control and rant about how unfair life is or how much you hate your life, 2020 will be no different. It will just be the same as yesterday. The past few years will just be the same as those ahead of us.

However, it’s up to each one of us to ‘DARE TO BE DIFFERENT. When you dare to be different you are automatically stepping out of the mold, becoming who you want to be. We have the power to change our ways. We have the power to let go of people who are bringing us down. We have the power to reinvent ourselves and revolutionize the world. We have the power to decide whether or not we continue to dwell in our past or move on, to take up risks be it – career, relationship or happiness wise. Basically it’s up to each of us to discover our worth and work towards it. It’s up to us to start studying more, exercising, traveling, socializing and doing more of what’s need to be done to inject happiness, satisfaction and love back into our lives. For life itself is a blessing, not a punishment.

So as we enter 2020, let’s make the most of the next decade. Monitor your mental health, prevent yourself from burning out.

I hope you find your true purpose and focus on that which brings you peace of mind. I hope you find courage to be yourself in the midst of your struggles. I hope you become all the things you have been suppressing over the past years. Be kind to others, practice gratitude and help those in need.

Change does not happen in your comfort zone.

Last year’s words belong to last year’s language. And next year’s words await another voice.

Wishing you a Happy New Year!

Let’s dare to be different.
